When this matters

Many big social apps strip this data when you post. It travels with the original file: email, AirDrop, cloud links, some marketplaces and forums.

Clean data isn't the whole story

In our CAN AI DO IT? test, we removed all location data from five photos. Claude still placed one of them 1.2 km from where it was taken, just from what was in the picture.

Before you post, also check the picture itself for:

Street signs, house numbers and shop names
Car number plates
A recognisable skyline, landmark or view from your window
School or work uniforms and badges
Letters, parcels or screens with your name or address
